Effective 11 October 2026
The photos you scan, the text SayLens reads in them, their translations and your settings are saved only in the app's private storage on your iPhone, so you can find your scans again in History. None of it is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
To remove a scan, swipe it away in History or use Clear All. Deleting SayLens removes all of its data from your iPhone. If you use iCloud or computer backups, Apple may include this data in your device backup under Apple's own privacy terms.
The camera is used only to read text. Live camera frames are read on your iPhone and never saved. Only photos you take with the shutter are kept, in History.
When you choose a photo, iOS's photo picker gives SayLens just that photo, not the rest of your library. SayLens doesn't ask for access to your photo library.
SayLens does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
